When was the last time a policeman, er, excuse me, policeperson was made to apologize?

Clearly Police Chiefs around the country owe the nation some serious apologize.

As part of the plea deal, they must apologize in writing to the officers Watts accused of racial profiling as well as the occupants of the building near where the incident occurred. They also got 40 hours of community service. Watts’ attorney says she will, indeed, apologize. NBC News notes that she originally swore she never would, but her attorney now tells the AP that Watts “wishes she hadn’t said some of the things she said” to police. However, he adds, she is not admitting that she and Lucas actually engaged in lewd conduct (she initially said they were just kissing).
